Our 2 Day Lake Mburo Uganda Safari takes you to one of the smallest parks in Uganda which is Lake Mburo National Park, covering an area of 371sq km with impressive Bird list of 332 species recorded including Shoebill, Yellow warbler, saddle billed stork etc. Lake Mburo is the closest park to Kampala – the capital of Uganda. More to the bird species, this beautiful national park offers abundant opportunities to view Impala, “named after the Kampala city”, Buffaloes, Topi, and the largest herds of Zebras in Uganda. You also have opportunities for safari walks with armed ranger guides, horse riding, and squad biking opportunities.
2 Day Lake Mburo Uganda Safari Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Drive to Lake Mburo National Park.
Start your 2 day lake Mburo Uganda safari in the morning after your breakfast, you transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. This 2 day lake mburo Uganda safari will take you through Uganda’s countryside with our first stopover at Mpambire being the biggest area where drum makers stall along the Masaka highway. After our experience on how drums are processed and other crafts you will proceed to the Equator monument.
2 Day Lake Mburo Safari – Equator Monument Experience
While at the Equator, you will have an opportunity to take pictures on both the southern and northern hemispheres. Later you will watch a small water experiment and shop for crafts from the various stalls and some of which support the vulnerable women and children from Kayabwe Village.
Embark on our journey to the Lake Mburo National Park, have lunch and later proceed for the afternoon boat cruise on the Lake Mburo located inside the park. The boat safari can take about an hour or more as you look out for the Crocodiles busking in the sun, schools of hippos, numerous birdlife like Sheobill, Fish Eagles, Saddle bill stork pelicans, etc.
Day 2: Morning Game drive and transfer to Kampala
On this day after your breakfast, you leave for the morning game drive in search of the beautiful Impalas, Buffaloes, Topi, the largest herds of Zebras in Uganda and the recently the introduced Giraffes added to the mammal list in Lake.
We shall exit the park and have lunch at the Equator Kayabwe on the way back to Kampala or Entebbe International Airport.
Optional activities – horse ride and Squad bikes can be done on our first day in the evening or on the second day morning.
