6 Day Gorilla and Chimpanzee Rwanda safari.
This 6-day gorilla and chimpanzee Rwanda tour takes you to various great destinations in the Thousand Hills of Rwanda. It will take you to the gorillas trek in Volcanoes National Park, Nyungwe Forest National Park for either chimpanzee trekking in the forest or the adrenaline canopy walk, Gisenyi for relaxation on Lake Kivu and a canoe ride before transferring to the airport en-route home.
Day 1: To Volcanoes National Park
On arrival, you will be welcomed by our professional tour guide who will take you for a city excursion in and around Kigali the capital city of Rwanda as you get oriented about this great country with a thousand hills. After this city tour experience, you will be transferred to Virunga National Park located in the North of Ruhengeri as you enjoy the beautiful terraced hills showing a clear picture of the general landscape and altitude of Rwanda with lots eucalyptus trees.

DAY 02: Gorilla Trekking in Volcanoes National Park
Enjoyable breakfast at your lodge, it can be exciting seeing everyone wrapped in warm clothing as you experience what we refer as the Switzerland of Rwanda Park, that is too clear in the indigenous forest for Gorilla trekking and draws one to the real side of natural beauty. The activity takes you into this virgin tropical rainforest plus a live call of colorful birds, chattering of the rare golden monkeys and littered with fresh spoor of the mountain elusive populations of buffalo and forest elephants. Enjoy the Giants of park as they play, groom and later transfer to your lodge for lunch and later relax up after a tiresome and exciting Gorilla tracking activity.

DAY 03: To Lake Kivu
After an enjoyable breakfast, you will be transferred to Lake Kivu for relaxation and a canoe ride to the beautiful hot springs. Lake Kivu is one of the enjoyable East African Lakes where you can relax after your gorilla trekking experience in Rwanda. This beautiful lake offers a great sunset and sun downer views coupled with seeing fishermen trolling with their small traditional boats on Lake Kivu.

DAY 04: A drive to the Nyungwe Forest National Park
After breakfast, you will drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park. The road to Nyungwe forest National Park is designed in such a way that all through, you will have great views of Lake Kivu and one of the biggest tea plantations in Rwanda.check in at your lodge, have lunch and relaxation, Dinner and overnight at your lodge.

DAY 05: Chimpanzee trekking or Canopy Walk
After breakfast, you will drive to Nyungwe Forest National Park headquarters for briefing and later proceed either for chimpanzee tracking or Canopy walk. Before you travel you will have chosen which activity to do. After your chimpanzee trek or Canopy, you will then drive back to your accommodation facility.

DAY 06: To Kigali via Butale National Musuem
After breakfast, you will be transferred to Kigali via Butale to visit the National Museum. You will arrive Kigali Late afternoon for your late departure flight.

POINT TO NOTE:
Only 86 permits are issued by the Rwanda Tourism Board, so it’s important to plan your trip earlier to avoid last minute panic whether you have a permit or not.
