3 Days Queen Elizabeth Safari Uganda – Queen Elizabeth National Park
This 3 days Queen Elizabeth National Park Safari will take you to the understandably Uganda’s most popular visited National Park which is Queen Elizabeth National Park. QENP is in the Western Region of Uganda, spanning the districts of Kasese, Kamwenge, Rubirizi, and Rukungiri. The park is approximately 400 kilometres (250 mi) by road south-west of Kampala, Uganda’s capital and largest city. This park covers an area 1,978 square kilometres (764 sq mi), that extends from Lake George in the north-east to Lake Edward in the south-west and includes the Kazinga Channel connecting the two lakes with a diverse ecosystem. QENP is known for its wildlife with about 95 mammal species, around 500 bird species. While in QENP you will be in position to see antelopes, crocodiles, hippos, elephants, buffaloes, leopards among others during game drives as well as a boat cruise along the Kazinga channel where you can view water birds for example African fish Eagle, Kingfishers, Pelicans, Jacana etc. The park is also home to the famous Climbing lions of the Ishasha Sector in Rukungiri district whose males sport black manes, Chimpanzees in Kyambura Gorge, the Maramagambo Forest and borders the Kigezi Game Reserve, the Kibale National Park in Uganda, and the Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of the Congo.
Day 1. To Queen Elizabeth.
Depart Kampala in the morning after breakfast and go through Uganda’s beautiful green countryside. Watch out for the Equator en-route as well as plenty of fresh vegetables and fruits. Proceed to the Queen Elizabeth National Park arriving in time for lunch. After lunch proceed for an evening game drive where you will also see the crater Lakes.
Day2. Game drive and Boat cruise.
An early morning game drive in the Park. Expect to see the famous Big Five; Elephant, Buffalos, Lions, Bush bucks, Kobs, Giant forest hog, Hyenas and Waterbucks return and have breakfast. In the after noon we’ll take a launch cruise along the amazing Kazinga channel and you will appreciate the scores of Hippos, Buffalos, and Crocodiles close to the waterside as well as the rare Leopard prowling. There is a variety of bird species especially pelican and Jacana. Overnight at your lodge.
Day 3. After breakfast transfer to Kampala
